Orfi Media in partnership with London City Royals

Orfi Media are delighted to announce that they are working in partnership with London City Royals to help Britain’s newest professional basketball franchise to grow and develop their brand and digital presence.

The Orfi team are working on a diverse brief to help deliver the Royals project, which is a unique opportunity to establish a pro sports team at the highest level of the country’s sport from scratch.

Responsibilities so far have included designing the team’s logo and kit, developing the website and an app for buying game tickets, creating and running the social media channels, copywriting, graphic design, technical support, filming and video production, photography and brand development.

And with the two parties discussing further collaborations, the hopes are for that list to carry on growing.

“Working with London City Royals embodies what we’re aiming to do as a digital marketing agency,” said Orfi founder Jonas Urbonas.

“We’re helping create a basketball team from scratch, developing their brand identity, digital presence, building a community and raising awareness of the sport in the country.

“This comes with a lot of responsibility, but we’re excited to redefine basketball in this country and help it to gain the public recognition it deserves.”

The highlight of the partnership so far has been the announcement of the Royals roster, a campaign which brought together social media strategy and video production to secure over 100,000 impressions across social channels.

As well as that, the London City Royals app is a first of its kind for a British basketball team, drawing together Orfi’s tech history and the Royals’ desire to innovate within the sport.

“The Orfi team have helped in not only developing a strong web and social media presence, but also significantly added to the value of the brand by developing a new ticketing app which enables improved information flow through to our customers,” said Jon Sawyer, chairman of the Royals.

“This will prove invaluable as the brand grows and customers seek greater levels of involvement in what is happening with the team.

“The output of work has been consistently high quality with on time delivery for all projects. I would not have any hesitation in recommending their services.”
